GET STARTED
Unzip the entire folder. Open START_HERE.html in a modern web browser; search works offline with JavaScript enabled. Keep records/*.js beside the HTML file. Search names, spelling variants, dates, section clues and sources. The city death index loads only when selected and may take several seconds on older machines.
CSV and JSON files are open data formats. Cemetery_Research_Index.xlsx is editable; edits do not automatically update the HTML or other exports. Archive_Search.sqlite includes FTS5 search plus four structured tables. Example: SELECT * FROM search WHERE search MATCH 'Harding';

EVIDENCE
Historical/institutional burial references report a burial but are not certified interment records. Compiled veteran lists and modern memorial pages require comparison with originals. Planned burial notices announce intentions, not completed burials. Memorial inscriptions can commemorate someone buried elsewhere. Blanks mean unknown; year-only values must not be treated as exact dates. Search-index leads were not checked against original memorial pages or photographs.
